The Florida Keys are a string of islands which stretch from the tip of the Florida Peninsula to Key West, its western-most point.

They were not always connected. It took somebody rich, powerful and visionary like Henry Flagler to connect the islands in 1908 with bridges that went across miles of open water. The longest bridge is the Seven-Mile Bridge which connects the City of Marathon with Bahia Honda.
