Western Caribbean
Home Up Isla San Andrés The Bay of Islands Isla Mujeres

After having spent more than a year cruising on the Pacific side, we noticed quite a difference as soon as we emerged from the Panamá Canal into Colón and the San Blás Islands. It is amazing what just 40 miles across the ithmus of Panamá can change!

Dear Family and Friends,

This is likely to be the last live update of our trip from San Francisco home to Marathon, in the Florida Keys. We will update our web site, www.marill.com, soon after we get home to share many of the recent pictures and experiences we have had.

We are currently berthed at Marina Paraiso, in beautiful Isla Mujeres, a short ferry ride away from famous Cancún, Mexico.

Our last update covered our experience in the San Blas Islands, Kuna Yala, Panamá.

From the San Blas Islands, Daisy and I sailed north 200 miles to the beautiful Colombian island of San Andrés. There, we spent over two weeks, enjoying the amenities of this Colombian paradise. This island surprised us and then some.
