In 2002, we started a new life as residents of our beloved Florida Keys. For us, this is the closest we can be to paradise, surrounded by beautiful turquoise water everywhere, coral reefs full of fish, lobster and conch, and, most importantly, an environment characterized by a carefree, informal atmosphere, surrounded by people who love the water as much as we do. We even have a new blue Conch Republic flag to remember when Key West challenged the United States to become a separate nation.  And FantasyFest, the Mardigras of Key West, is celebrated during the Halloween season every year.

No wonder Jimmy Buffet liked the Keys so much, and wrote so many songs inspired by its waters and lifestyle.
